In total I think we've been to Austria four or five times usually drive-through excursions but we also had a lovely long weekend in Vienna where froze our toes off outdoor iceskating and had way too much gluhwein in tiny xmas booty mugs we kept as souvenirs.

Despite it being summer when we made this, we 100% had a Christmassy flash back to our time in Vienna with hundreds of market stalls selling gluhwein, sausages, sauerkraut and decorations. We opted for the easy street-food-style dinner because we love käiserkrainer hotdogs and made the effort with apple strudel.
