Bamboracky & Cesnecka: Reliving 2009 with Czech comfort food

We spent a few weeks in Prague in 2009 for a sporting event, where I was lucky enough to have a decent hotel provide pretty much all of my meals and thankfully (for me at least) there was plenty of Czech options - whats the point in eating food from home when you're in a new country! I loved that I could have garlic soup at every meal (I sure as hell didn't care that I stunk of garlic for a month) - Garlic is my number one vegetable - and apparently Czechia is famous for it's garlic.
The Challenge: Garlic soup & potato pancakes - Because garlic is the best & 2009 Prague was a goodun.
Sadly the garlic we get in London (during lockdown without a car) is not as good as what you can get easily in Czechia, but we made do. Prague was nice when we were there but the focus was on the sports so other than a couple of jolly jaunts into the old town, remembering that the price of beer as cheaper than water or soft drink in restaurants the most memorable (loved) part of the trip was the garlic soup.
