Lockdown 300 was getting tedious so we wanted a to be a little more fun with this challenge.

The three of us have seen a little of Germany; Hanover, Berlin, Stuttgart, Lake Konstanz, Heidelberg & in/around Neuschwanstein Castle. BabyLeaps was somewhere down Baden-Wüttermberg way for the better part of a month after we all spent a couple weeks in Hanover for a sports tournament - our first German trip. German food is, at least to me, very similar to many other east/central European countries but I will point out that their bakeries are awesome and we've been known to drive up to an hour from neighbouring countries to get picnic/road-trip ready.
The Challenge: Oktoberfest(?) - Because lockdown sucks and we wanted a bit of fun.
We were bored of looking up specific foods, not just for this challenge but for organising ourselves in general - weekly shops can get so tedious. So, Baby Leaps came up with a plan. Oktoberfest. We've never been to the official celebration in Munich or anywhere else really except; for a random Work function in London that actually had a crazy amount of delicious sausages. Anyway, the plan was käsespätzle, bratwurst, pretzels and a non-Black Forest Gateau (I'm sorry German friends I just cannot stand cherries so we went with raspberries).
It was a lot of food and a tonne of fun.
